A look behind the scenes in Purmerend

We regularly spend a day on-site shooting content. Recently, we visited Purmerend, where we are currently working on phase 2 of the Kwadijkerpark project.
Earlier, we completed phase 1 here with 67 homes, which we equipped with prefab underfloor heating and district heating distribution boards. In phase 2, we are realizing 71 homes that will also be connected to district heating—something that makes this project technically even more interesting!

Where district heating normally means a pump-equipped distribution unit on a board, here we opted for a more advanced and smarter setup. These distribution units include, among other things:

– A Honeywell valve for optimal control
– A STAD balancing valve for precise hydraulic balancing
– Complete primary pipework between the district heating set and the ground-floor distribution unit, plus a second unit where necessary

And the best part: we prefab these distribution units entirely in-house.
That means custom solutions, strict quality control, and fast on-site installation.
For this phase alone, we supplied no fewer than 91 distribution boards and installed more than 6,350 m² of prefab underfloor heating. Craftsmanship, progress, and collaboration come together perfectly here!
